Meanwhile the geniuses at Breakthrough Institute continue to insist on nuclear power as the solution.

Thorium - fuel of the future, just like fusion.Brianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09301230860904555513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28837843.post-47275375031553827002012-08-05T18:39:22.415-07:002012-08-05T18:39:22.415-07:00CharlesH,

We are closing down the useful part of NASA while maintaining the useless bits such as GISS.

We are handing the wonderful work of ORNL and Weinberg to the Chinese.

What next?gallopingcamelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08490747443886030893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28837843.post-435952229536086562012-08-05T13:51:22.403-07:002012-08-05T13:51:22.403-07:00Game changer:

Na...Or existing technology and steep carbon taxes.

Natural gas can be used more efficiently than coal or oil in combined cycle turbines (to produce electricity) - not that it is always used that way, but I think those who advocate for it are including that factor in their assumptions.

But those who advocate for it seem to have a need to greatly exaggerate the impracticality of everything else. Solar is actually looking really good to me already and every year gets dramatically better.Arthurhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06249922708053689717noreply@blogger.com
