Oregonian Op-Ed

I have an op-ed in today's Oregonian, correcting some of the endless streams of untruths that come from skeptic Gordon Fulks.

What does Mr. Fulks do for a living?

  2. Lars, I have no idea, but I'm going to be bold and guess retired.

Anyway, David, that's some pretty good writing for a scratching post. :)

Good guess, Steve, but what I was really wondering about was how he came by his views on how science works.

I've been working as a scientist for over twenty years and I find it increasingly irksome to be lectured upon how science works by engineers etc.

  4. There's a short bio here, according to which he got a physics PhD at UChicago in the '60s and subsequently published at least one paper, but from the sound of the rest of it any actual science is now in his distant past. I assume David knows more.
