In San Francisco for AGU Meeting

I'm in San Francisco for this week's AGU meeting. Expected attendance: 22,000.

There were obviously many other attendees on the flight down and the BART in -- science nerds tend to have a certain look, and a lot of them were carrying poster tubes.

I'll be covering the meeting for the Yale Forum on Climate Change and the Media, along with Bruce Lieberman and our editor Bud Ward.

I'll tweet at @davidappell, and we'll all be tweeting at @yalemediaforum with the conference hashtag #agu13.

The meeting has a virtual meeting option at http://fallmeeting.agu.org/2013/virtual-options/ . There will be nearly 100 sessions put online (almost 600 presentations in total), either live or on demand at
http://fallmeeting.agu.org/2013/virtual-options/live-stream-video-demand/

Should be fun.
