Just drove by Ted Cruz’s house in Houston. His lights are off but a neighbor told me the block got its power back last night. Also, Ted appears to have left behind the family poodle. pic.twitter.com/TmLyGQkASy

Ted Cruz Left His Poodle Alone
Ted Cruz went to Cancun and left his dog alone in a dark, cold house...like millions of other Texans. A state led by Republican couldn't even keep the lights on, despite decades of warnings that their go-it-alone electricity grid, not connected to the national grid, was in danger from extreme weather events. No one cared -- after all, the elite could always jet off to the tropics despite the pitiful privation of the poor plebes and the poodles.
"Appears to"?? David re-stated speculation as if it were factual news.
ReplyDeleteA follow up tweet from the same person shows how uncertain the charge is: He wrote, "It's possible Ted brought the poodle back from Cancun with him, or that a family member was staying behind to take care of the dog."
It's ironic that someone who blasts Trump for lies nevertheless posts an uncertain speculation as if it were a fact.
Cheers
David in Cal

Look at the photo and you can see the dog inside the front door.
You should be grateful for the dog story. It is distracting attention from the inability of the Texas Republican state government to run a utilities provider. They failed to invest in cold weather resilience despite having eight years warning that this weather pattern was becoming more likely.
Of course, Republicans always discount warnings from climate scientists.

David, you might be right, I think. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteStill, big blunder by Ted Cruz. I hope this eliminates him from any possibility of being president. He'd be terrible anyway, and has never shown any leadership.
And beyond the poodle, this has been a disaster for Texans. Let's talk about that, OK?
