Is it a coincidence that the emergence of intelligent life coincides with an ice age climate?
Good question. I don't know the answer but would like to. If intelligent, human-ish life developed and thrived in Africa over the last 5 M yrs, they wouldn't be very susceptible to the ice cycles. Right? (I don't know the effect of the ice cycles on Africa.)
