Based on years involved with insurance for natural catastrophes, ISTM there's a human tendency to give to much credence to an observed short-term pattern, and to assume that it will continue long term.
Assuming it is genuine (it looks like it is), it is a reasonably-balanced article even if the agenda is the promotion of nuclear power by the UK Thatcher government.
I wonder if the fossil fuel propaganda people turned Monckton, or if he just offered his services like the good mercenary he is?
