Interestingly, he's chosen to omit that odd polynomial fit he used to use. Tracking through the wayback machine, this seems to have happened about when the fit stopped turning down at the end. Just an odd coincidence, no doubt!

Huh, the Roy's latest update has the same "weird polynomial" as always. So what are you talking about?
Don't know why yet but DA's chart is very different.
My earlier comment hasn't made it through moderation.
But I think was wrong.
I do remember RS using a polynomial and now there is a centered average.
But still. There's no difference.
