BTW, the La Nina is Over, But....

I didn't realize this until the other day, but the 2020-2021 La Nina is now finished, and has been for a couple of months now.

However, there may be another La Nina this fall, according to the International Research Institute for Climate and Society (IRI) at Columbia University:

So 2021 is going to be a relatively cool year globally, and already has been -- this graph is from James Hansen's monthly email missive:

In the past we might have heard the usual crap about "global warming is over," but I can't see anyone falling for that now. The public discussion really has changed. But 2021 won't be a record warm year.

Yes, I think most of the public have reached a position, with which I agree

1. Anthropogenic global warming is real
2. It's not a cataclysmic catastrophe that takes precedence over all other issues. Rather, it's a problem to be dealt with, along with many other problems

Cheers

This is good news DiC. When do you think the Republican party will catch up?

The clowns at WUWT still believe this year marks the beginning of a new ice age. They think the cold spell and the relatively cold q1 is a definite sign of it.
