An Argument for Keeping Mask Mandates

This will be an interesting test case. Want to take bets on where this will be in 3 weeks? My bet is it's dropped off a cliff. I will be happy to reevaluate my position if I'm wrong on this.

P.S. the Canadian numbers are probably not very useful. We're not really tracking cases anymore. The rule in Ontario is that if you're sick, don't bother getting a test, just stay home for 5 days.

The rational behind dropping restrictions in Denmark:

We see a decoupling of the number of cases and then the number of severely ill patients that need hospital care. That's very clear," Dr Krause said.

"The strategy has, all the way through, been not to put more restrictions on the population than is actually needed to control the epidemic. And right now, the numbers look quite good."

Anyone want to bet that Denmark's cases won't have dropped off a cliff in 3 weeks?

Denmark cases were ~43,000 / day when they removed restrictions. They were 45,000/day on Feb 14 when David posted this article. They are at 36,000 one week later on Feb 21. It will be interesting to see how the next two weeks evolve, but so far it hasn't been a catastrophe.
