I'm trying to make sense of that number.
There should be well over 10,000,000,000 people on the planet by 2100. 150,000 seems small in that context.
Natural disasters currently kill an average of 60,000 people per year globally. That means another 4,740,000 deaths by 2100. An additional 150,000 is ~3% increase.
~5,000,000 people have died from COVID in the last year and a half.
I can't really make sense of these numbers, even with context - especially considering we're talking about human lives.
