I haven't blogged much about the Presidential campaign. I just can't find myself getting excited about it. I think I have passed a threshold where I no longer believe anything is going change the political corruption, corporate influence, and militarism that now defines the United States. I agree strongly with Megan McArdle:
Obama killed in Virginia, carrying an overwhelming majority of the black vote, but also splitting the white vote right down the middle. I'm watching his speech now, and it's inspiring. But it's also saddening, because deep down, I don't believe that Obama is going to change Washington, eliminate lobbying, etc. I wish he wouldn't tell me things that I can't possibly believe--and moreover that I can't really understand anyone believing. He might be the best president; he might even make Washington work a little better, though I kind of doubt it. But he isn't going to transform American politics in the utopian way his speech implies. No one who has dried out behind the ears could reasonably believe that he has this power. So why is he saying he does?
Eliminate lobbying? Come on.

Sure, people want to hope...but you have to do it with open eyes.

How Dangerous is Obama?

This article proves that he's merely a tool for the world government and promoter of a tax to be paid to the UN to fuel its totalitarian control over us and to redistribute the wealth to other countries.

"A nice-sounding bill called the "Global Poverty Act," sponsored by Democratic presidential candidate and Senator Barack Obama, is up for a Senate vote on Thursday and could result in the imposition of a global tax on the United States. The bill, which has the support of many liberal religious groups, makes levels of U.S. foreign aid spending subservient to the dictates of the United Nations."

"The bill defines the term "Millennium Development Goals" as the goals set out in the United Nations Millennium Declaration, General Assembly Resolution 55/2 (2000)."

"In addition to seeking to eradicate poverty, that declaration commits nations to banning "small arms and light weapons" and ratifying a series of treaties, including the International Criminal Court Treaty, the Kyoto Protocol (global warming treaty), the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child."

An Obama presidency would be racist and a disaster for the USA.
In one of Obama's campaign offices, there is even a flag with a picture of a murderous Marxist dictator on it!

If enough people believe him and other factors play out just so, he may just end up having told the truth. If he doesn't say it, then it's certainly not happening. It's his "audacity of hope." At least I dare to hope it is. Anyway, just in terms of content, an over-the-top aspirational declaration that's concrete is a lot better than one that's vacuous and/or mendacious horseshit, such as we've grown accustomed to hearing. That's just my opinion.

I believe that Obama has the best chance to enact change out of any candidate. Sure we can be cynical about it and say that no president is ever going to be able to get the United States back on its feet, but what's the good in that?
Here's a pretty cool Obama video that I thought I would share.

It's all Socialism...Communist Crap...look at Russia...yeah, that'd be GREAT to end up like them!!!!!

You CANNOT make people work harder in this country if you keep trying to give them HANDOUTS!!!!! That's why we have what are called J.O.B.'s. If it were better to just give us the money instead of making us work for it, the govt would instituted that a LONG time ago. That's right, because SOMEONE has to do the work around here! And how about on the flip side, how would you like to continuously outperform your peers but continue to get nothing additional for it? In fact, not only that, but you would get EXACTLY the same thing your buddy over there gets who sits around all day picking his nose and shooting spitballs at the ceiling. How's THAT for incentive??? What we have is called Capitalism, what Obama wants is called Socialism (translates: Communism). Get it???

Anyone who believes in this socialistic society, or that you can fix America by paying each Dr the same, or each Lawyer the same, or that by waiting 6 months to get treated for influenza as opposed to 6 hours is terribly mistaken, or even, dare I say, STUPID!

Come on...wake up and get a clue!!!!
