Treason, by Definition

How does this not apply to Congressional Republicans?
18 USC § 2384 - Seditious conspiracy
If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

It can't be treason, because Treason is defined in the constitution as
"Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court. The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted."

"Treason" has a certain definition in the US crimial code. By that code, Congressional Republicans are committing treason.

They ought to be arrested.

What you quoted was sedition, not treason.

And the difference is what?

Either is sufficient to get Congressional Republicans arrested and jailed.

You should check out the "speech or debate" clause of the constitution.

You claim A, I point out that what you say, isn't A, but B, and you respond with "What is the difference between A and B"?

Treason and sedition aren't the same.

Again: what is the difference?

This is about the US Code I quoted, which seems pretty clear. Under it, how are Congressional Republicans not guilty of seditious conspiracy?
