Not a "Whopper" At All

The New York Times opines:
Virtually everyone accepts the overwhelming evidence of human influence on climate change and the urgent need to address it, except for a handful of hardened skeptics and those who benefit financially from less regulation.
which for some reason Steve Milloy and Marc Morano find to be a "whopper."

Some people need to get out of the DC circle and attend a science conference or three....

For that matter, so does Mark Steyn.... The American Geophysical Union often holds its spring conference in Boston. Wonder if he will attend to see what all the fuss is about....?

Pew Research:

"The American public routinely ranks dealing with global warming low on its list of priorities for the president and Congress. This year, [2014] it ranked second to last among 20 issues tested."

Threats considered by the general public to be more "urgent" include
strengthening the economy, defending against terrorism, reducing crime, dealing with the problems of the poor and needy, and reducing the influence of lobbyists.

Less than half those polled prioritzed "protecting the environment", "dealing with the nation's energy problem" and "dealing with illegal immigration."

The immigration issue is, somewhat surprisingly given the polling data, claimed to be a "top" priority of both US political parties.

Sorry, I omitted a link to a second page to the Pew site which provides the evidence for assertions;
