
Here's an anomaly: even though this year's minimum in Arctic sea ice extent probably won't be lower than last year's (though there's still a chance), the year-to-date average daily SIE is 1.4%
below 2013.
In the long run, that might matter more (for the ice-albedo effect, for example). I don't know.
Or it might be Gaia toying with us.
