"...governments are always destructive in the creation of wealth."All you really have to do is think about the world for maybe 3 seconds to realize that the affluence and freedom resides in those countries that have strong democrat-ish governments that enforce laws provide the essential infrastructure on which commerce, education, and enterprise depend. Or, as Niall Ferguson put it in a recent TED talk, "the six killer apps of prosperity," none of which are seen in lawless states or where people spend half the day just walking to get water:
Thom Hartmann, the progressive radio host, calls libertarianism a "cult." Ron Paul doesn't do much to convince a person otherwise.
